Hiya gymrats!

I meant to do an end of year recap on how the whole highland games thing was going, and I never got around to it.  Suffice it to say, I have continued to improve and I am now somewhere between "Not Bad" and "Getting Good".  I've relocated to the east coast and competition over here is pretty stiff.

Is high rep working for any or you in terms of weight loss? (Weight loss is my priority, I am not so concerned about mass or strength.)

My thanksgiving meal:

-1 slice of extra lean dry turkey, slice will be half the size of my index finger

-1 cranberry

-a few salad leaves and I will put a bottle of salad dressing near the plate for imaginary flavor

-1/16 of a pecan

- 1 glass of fitness water

I recently started to go back to the gym to cut body fat. This is what I'd like to do before bulking. I'm starting to eat ~1700 cal daily and aim to burn 900-1100 calories through intense cardio when I go to the gym.

Is this okay for starters? Any other suggestions? Should I look into protein shakes? Vitamins?

So I just started working a desk job. I currently run around 50-60 miles a week, go to occasional spin classes and use the cross trainer. I'm also watching what I eat but am still really freaked out of weight gain because I'm so used to jobs where I'm on feet all day.
